Flora & Fauna Series
Join a naturalist for an in-depth exploration of our
maritime forests, salt marshes and beaches. Learn about
the natural forces that shape Amelia Island and the plants
and animals that call the island their home.
$10/adult, $7.50/children ages 4-12.

 

Bike Hike
Discover Amelia’s natural wonders on the seldom traveled path to Sound Point Place. Join a naturalist on a six mile paved trail through forests, dunes and marshes.

Birds of Amelia
Whether an experienced birder or a novice, Amelia’s list of bird species is sure to entice you. Join one of our naturalists and leisurely explore some of the island’s prime avian habitat in search of unique native and migratory birds.

Flora & Fauna
Explore the native plant and animal communities that comprise the ecosystem of Amelia Island. Stroll through a maritime hammock, woodland habitat or among the salt marsh grasses and learn about the many species that reside there. Let one of our naturalists be your guide.

Woodland Walk
Discover the maritime forest and dune communities along the Sunken Forest boardwalk trail.

Bird Watching 101
Beginning bird enthusiasts join our naturalists for an introduction to bird watching and identification. You will learn what you need to know to find those Painted Buntings or Pileated Woodpeckers. Then stroll around the property and use your new skills to identify 5 to 10 birds.

Back Porch Birding
Come sit and relax with our naturalist on our back deck for a unique birding experience. Topics will range from backyard birds, landscaping for wildlife, choosing binoculars and other birding tool tips for bringing birds to your own backyard.
